Commodore Rakesh Anand, is an Indian Navy Veteran with a service of about thirty years. Post premature retirement from the Indian Navy, he joined the Mazagon Dock shipbuilders Ltd, from where he superannuated after having put in about ten years’ service.

His career in the Navy included appointments at Sea, Units providing first and second line of fleet maintenance support, Directorate of Marine Engineering, TA to CoMs, Directorate of Submarine Design, Command Engineer officer at HQWNC, Officer in charge of Fleet Maintenance Unit and Directorate of Indigenisation.

His appointments with Mazagon Dock shipbuilders, ranged from heading the Planning and Design aspects of P75 project, the Director Corporate Planning and Personnel and the Chairman and Managing Director, during which period, he was responsible for modernisation of the Shipyard, launching of three Scorpene Submarines, three Frigates/ Destroyers and delivering two submarines to the Indian Navy.

He joined the Crown Group as CEO of OSK India Pvt Ltd and is now the head of Marine Division of the Group.

Commodore SK Iyer (Retd) is a professional in SCM and HR, with 43+ years of cross cultural exposure in the field of supply chain, financial planning, contract conclusion/ management with all commercial tasks involved in the activity, strategic planning for logistics management along with Human Resource Management in the defence sector. This includes nine years in the corporate field in a joint venture concern.

He graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce Delhi University in B. Com (Hons), post graduated from Madras University in Military Strategic Studies and MBA from Symbiosis Pune in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management. During 34+ years in the Indian Navy, he has the unique distinction of having undergone training in the navies of Germany, USA and Singapore on their SCM practises.

In 2011 Cmde SK Iyer joined the prestigious India-Russia JV, the Supersonic missiles manufacturing company Brahmos Aerospace as the Commercial Head. This job involved conclusion and managing contracts worth over $6 billion. This was followed by heading the HR tasks of the same fast growing company, that involved setting up second and third production centres in Nagpur and Pilani, in addition to streamlining HR systems and practices.
